There are four (4) major grades: Test 1 and 2, Midterm (3-5 pp. min), the Final Paper (6-10 pp. min). You have to have them all done. If you don't show up for your exam, you have no grade; this "no-grade" turns into "F" (in short, don't skip it). The minor (progress) grades. "Participation" grade (how often you speak in class) and "Attendance" grade. My office is in the theatre basement. Conferences are required. Need extra credit? Do extra work. Summary

UAF Theatre

Course Objective: To gain knowledge of the basic elements and tools a playwright uses to create a work of art and to develop awareness and appreciation of the history and ideas in the history of drama. All students are required to attend scheduled theatre events outside of class.
GRADES: 90.5 and above = A, 80-90.4 = B, 70-79 = C, 60-69 = D, 59 and below = F. 3 subject papers (2pp. each) 8 points each -- 40 points Quizzes, participation, attendance -- 30 points Midterm paper -- 10 points (5 pp.) Final exam -- 20 points (10 pp.) Total = 100 points
