Now, the serious stuff. The definitions. "Virtual Theatre" or "Web Theatre"? "Webcast" is accepted already. But does it mean the live show is trasmitted in real time to the computer screen? Circut TV? Or should we start from the end-product, your monitor?
What do we have? Not just a screen, but a keybord (interactivity). With your mouse (part of the keyboard) you can do no less than the real audience in theatre (laughter, applause). You can send a signal to the show -- and can alter the show!

... I return to vtheatre pages, when I come to the limits of what could be discussed in class. "Theatre of One"? I am tired of my inner fight with the notion that communial nature of theatre, this "live performance," will be processed through the technology (many) -- this is the only way when ONE could be connected with ALL.
The communization (and the alienation is a by-product) is our fate and co-existence with all is no more that an extention of my links with the past and the future. The old means of self-expression have to go through the transfiguration by the new medias.
Do I like the picture? I don't know, but I know that I live it for six years of my cyber-era. I am closer to "all" -- and I am distanced from everyone of them more than ever. The speed of light that links me with many is the biggest wall known. I guess, something simular takes place with the universe, running away from its center...
What about the physical space and time?
The ancient chronotope is still here. An alternative? A refuge? A part of the new cyber cosmos?
The virtual forms won't be different from actual presence?
