Summary3.20.04. Well, well -- you can see that I have to work on two scripts for 2004-2005 season ("The Shrew" and "Anti-Oedipus"). Yes, I went for the classics and my favorites on the short list, but since both texts are in public domain, I can re-write. What? Another adaptations?Worse. I am thinking about "Pygmalion" (copyright free) and "Four Books" (I have my problems with "The Passions of the Christ"). 2005-2006. "The Jesus and Christ" is on my list for many years... 2004 & After
Yes, I do not work on "The Possessed" (which I want to rename -- "The Terror" or "Prince" -- Stavrogin). When I can get to it? Summer 2004? Who lives now... Even in Fairbanks, Alaska. ( Letters edited by Lillian Hellman, as if she wanted to write about him... ) 2006: I thought that all I have to do is to write a good play... The Internet was my last hope; I put the script on the web -- bingo! "They will find it"... Who "they"? They. ... ideas page : ... ... what is the difference between write.vtheatre.net and plays.vtheatre.net?

First -- my mother's death in 1994. Second -- my father's stay in US in 1998, last -- my father's wake, in Moscow again, 2004.
Look at the dates -- it's almost twoo years since I began this project.

New: по-русски -- Речной Вокзал (in Russian and in progress) and Playwright page in WRITE directory. There are related pages in SCRIPT directory too.* GODOT.06: Doing Beckett => main stage Theatre UAF Spring 2006 * write.vtheatre.net --This present directory is in English only -- Summary and Intro pages.
I'm afraid that my "Russian Play" (I call it this way, because it's in Russian and I do not like how the Russian title sounds in English) is only a beginning. After 22 years of not writing drama in Russian, I suspect that they are many to follow. I haven't finished this one, but I opened already another directory for "Spring Break" (takes place in 2002).

PS. I have two kinds of the same play: linear (old fashion) play and web-drama (hypertext). You can see the principle in SHOWS directory, where the showcases (directories) are organized according to the open text idea. In short, reader-determined-composition. Reader-as-editor? Anyway, read Virtual Theatre files.
The problem. Writing alone takes so much time and organizing it as a hypertext takes additional time. Besides, I don't fully understand, why the two forms should exist... I didn't think it through... Sometimes I am so tired that I want to go back to a typewriter!
I have to watch myself, switching languages helps. Those pix and sounds I throw into this web-play -- As if the after production cycle? What is it? The play isn't finished yet, but I act, as if it was produced and everything is a matter of history? Interesting.
