...Maybe I can do it right this time. Yes, the "books" pages! Oh, the books pages! The links! I make Mining Film pages for About.com, when I thought that I can be their editor for "Film Studies" (I didn't know how much work is needed for $200/month). Well, you teach, you need to have them, the book-pages.What books? Theatre, film, aesthetics, philosophy? The books I read, the books you need to act, direct, write. I list only the titles I like because I read the text. Consider it "Anatoly's Reading List(s)"...
No, I wish I could make more, for great novels, for example, but I also wish I could have more time...
The problem with bibliography in my directories is the low tech of (non-hyper) listing. Amazon comes with a lot of info I have to replicate (like ISBN and so on). It's easier to creat a link to Amazon than to do it the old fashion way. Plus, the reader reviews (if number is big it usually coinsides with my opinion).
Film-North is about film theory and filmmaking... Filmmaking title, directing, acting...

Several times in my long life I tried to have a library. Yes, at home. I had several thousand books in Moscow. Then I defected. I bought the used books store in Virginia, and defected to Alaska. In 1992 in Russia I bought thousands on American dollars .... they are still in boxes in St. Petersburg (I had no money to ship them to US). The web-book-pages is my last try to have this library!
The write.vtheatre.net and Write Russian should serve my web-manuscripts.
... all are not finished. Yes, I would like to have them in my library...
Since I do everything through Amazon now, you can go to my page and see what I buy, recommend and so on.
There are two (more) new directories, which will grow in 2003: Film600: Anti-Theory and Personal Politics (both with the references to the books I read and use; philosophy). Also, check the classes I teach -- usually, while updating the pages, I expend the "books" pages I have now in every subject directory. Spring 2003: "Film & Movies" (Film Analysis), Stage Directions, Intermediate Acting (Biomechanics), fundamentals of Acting.... Plus, the shows directories (see the research pages): Don Juan by Moliere is on UAF main stage in April. Anyway, the heavy reading titles will be on the theory page.
