I have my right to be a postmodernist; I came to this country in 1980, when the major postmodern theories were already developed. Then I didn't know it and I try to be American. USA went Reagan to Clinton before I gave up and realized that I live in PostAmeriKa!

SummarycoverNotes"Nonfiction is technically any prose that isn't fiction, but I think that in creative writing it often suggests a personal level to the writing, such that most journalism, literature reviews, or textbook material usually do not qualify in this context, even though the language may, of course, be very creative. Creative writing nonfiction can be political, educational, philosophical, what have you, but I think that at the core is a kind of consciousness in the piece which is for the most part inappropriate in more scholarly or practical writing.
