There is a lot of references to theology, but the church worked with the concept of the "virtual" for centuries and I want to save myself time simply by quoting what they already developed as "theory" (mostly Christian thought). In theory it's true, but I underestimate the work involved. Finally, I had to make a choice between turning each my show into a virtual theatre project, or to write about VT. So, I write. I do not know how much of VT will be in the Spring 2003 production of Don Juan (Moliere); I did next to nothing with Dangerous Liaisons (although the screen was there). Before I do direct VT again, I need to spend some time on play-writing in order to see, if the hyper drama structure indeed is a must for VT shows. And I need to do some thinking about the theory of VT. I call "Theatre" because the events take place in the same time (if not in the same place, and this is why it's "Virtual").

I had to forbid myself to write a "Virtual Theatre Manifesto" -- the technology moves so fast, steaming video is used already....

Maybe not in artistic terms, but every new medium starts this way.

If you read my webpages, you know that I have many interests, but regarding my research, vTheatre is the place where it all comes together.
