Be-not. To be is not to be. DEAD MAN: Do you admit? SOUL. The sin. I: I do. IDIOT: Do be -- Be do! SOUL: Why? Why would you, love? I: I think I felt it. DEAD MAN: You think you felt? Felt what? What do you know about life and death!? SOUL: It's not his thought, it's not his fault, it's not his feeling. He read it and he thought -- wow! cool! I: I feel it. SOUL: Now? I: Now. BODY: I want to go. DEAD MAN: Oh, let him go! IDIOT: I second it! SOUL: He can't. He has to be around. That is the law. DEAD MAN (to I): What do you do? I: Me? Nothing. DEAD MAN: Don't nothing me! I see you through. You think! I: Yes, sir. I did. DEAD MAN: I think! I do it! Me! Because I know how! It's dangerous to think... SOUL: Agree. BODY: I never do it, ever! IDIOT: I do. To think or not to think -- it doesn't matter. I feel my thoughts, I smell them. I can, because I am an idiot. BODY: You are lucky. DEAD MAN: All, look at him! (points at I) He thinks. Look at his eyes. He does it. IDIOT: He does. I see. BODY: I don't. SOUL (to I): Why? I: I do not know. DEAD MAN: You're the idiot. IDIOT: Objections! I object! BODY: I want to say... DEAD MAN: Be quiet! Order! Silence! (Pause. All are silent.) DEAD MAN (to I): Explain yourself. SOUL: Relax. We're all with you. IDIOT: We are. BODY: Am I? DEAD MAN: Speak. I: I'm not happy. DEAD MAN: What? SOUL: Why? IDIOT: Yes! BODY: No!
