Three years later his wife Maria is leaving him, committing David to a mental institution. To stop her, David agrees to play "David."

ANATOLY ANTOHIN, playwright and director, who defected from the Soviet Union in 1980, is Associate Professor of Theatre at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Anatoly has won several awards in drama and his plays have been produced in Russia, the USA and many European countries. In the U.S. he has taught and directed at the University of Connecticut, Connecticut College, New York University, Norwich University in Vermont, and Hollins College in Virginia. In 1992-94, Anatoly Antohin was in St. Petersburg, Russia, as a Fulbright scholar and as head of the Russian American Theatre project.
