Everything you see in Mining Directory is service-oriented. Originally, I work on content pages only and very soon I ran into a problem of organizing my pages. MiningFilm section was built to support the subject pages. To store the links in one place, to help the navigation and so on.
In short, this directory is an extention of the original References page.
This right collum I use on my pages as a substitution for a newsletter. If you want to be updated, go to the my mailing list and subscribe yourself!
I'll continue to add new features: search engines, links to the film databases and everything else I find usefull.
Film is a complex media and film-making is a complicated business. I won't be able to cover all the aspects of it, I rather focus on Directing and Theory of Film.
If you are making movies, studying film or simply love cinema, this Film-Mining section can be your site.
There are many websites on "movies" (movies we consume, films we read), many too many about celebrities (very few on Film Acting) -- my aim is different, I invite you to learn how to cook, you already know how to eat.
Film is not just art, but science and craft. What do you do if you want to have your favorite dish any time? You get the recipe.

I am Anatoly Antohin, graduated from Moscow Film Institure in 1975 and wrote several screenplays all of them banned in various stages of production.
So, while in Italy with the Soviet deligation I defected in 1980. In New York I wrote and worked on many short film projects. But since I had an extensive theatre background (two national awards in playwrighting in Russia and even one in New Jersey), I direct, teach theatre -- and film at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Theatre Department.

For more than a year I was preparaing for the new grad course Visions of the Northern Mind about special visual sensitivity of the directors from Scandinavia (Bergman) and Russia (Tarkovsky).
