I underestimated the work involved into turning webpages into ebooks... I keep writing my class notes straight to my webpages -- and, nevertheless, so many missing issues and topics! Do I have to do it for another five-ten years before it will get right? Actually, there is more work ahead -- I have to edit, rewrite (what is written already, plus the new), to introduce the storytellers (Eisenstein is the new one for film pages). Was I so stupid before (as a webmaster, too), not know what to do? Am stupid now (view from the future)? Well, this is the transition from "pages" to "books" -- serious business.

I am about to makes a new directory for Film Links, but for now you can check my links at Open Directory Project (Film Theatre) and Absolute Authority (I was an editor at both).

Where teaching and studying (research) meet --
Theme-thought, according to different playwrights (Shakespeare, Ibsen, Strindberg, Chekhov and so on) and directors (Fillini, Kurosawa, Tarkovsky, Bergman pages).
Connections with other themes (list): family, gender and sex...
Finally, my own practical investigations: shows.vtheatre.net (only recently I began to make themes pages, Don Juan 2003, for example).
And the nonfiction (writing), of course: HIM, Father-Russia, PostAmeriKa, Self, POV, Tech (gatepages are in WRITE directory).
Yeah, yeah, there is more -- "philo" pages, metaphysics: in theatre theory directory, for instance (topics-bar: space, time and etc.)
Plus, Virtual Theatre and Book of Spectator!Web? Oh, this is just medium. Like stage, screen, writing...

| To make classes operational online, they need ten times more pages in each directory! And I talking about content pages! I'll retire before I can have that many! Even with the textbook in yiour hands.
Second, once I select a textbook, I have to stick with it -- and each new edition has new page numeration! I should forget about ONLINE for now. Featured Pages: Biomechanics! No way I can do that many pages as in "root directory"! No FAQ, no HELP pages! Use LINKS if you're lost... "Do you think I was born with the knowledge of HTML?" Karl Marx I teach "live" -- but the Internet & Web component of my regular classes grows each semester. I thought that navigation is a problem, now -- interactivity! Only now I place the GuestBooks (the boards could be another step). The readers must use webpages; they have to have the space to do it. The references is another issue too. I know that this web-work never ends, but I still hope that there is something like a critical mass, when the pages get their own life (inluding the number of pages). I am not sure that I have all the directories I need.... Online classes? I don't think so. [ advertising space : webmaster ]

Notes? All this began because I teach!...So I have notes. I typed them, I had more of them every time I teach a class....
I post them on the Web....
I had to write more notes....
Make more webpages!
More directories!
More websites!
I hope I have the system in place.
But I have to develop the apparatus: Summary, Questions, Homework, Assignments, References, Reading Lists, etc.
I still do not have the printed version for revisions. To turn the pages from the notes-style into the texts.

Predictions: in 2001 the content pages will be closed, you know, for "members only"! Or in 2002.
There will the teaser-pages, but the rest will be the paid service. I hadn't try yet what they offer -- uPublish, when you access pages only after you pay a fee.
It will take some time to reorganize the directories (textbooks) in such a manner that pages are worth paying for. And the PR pages are in place to sell the rest.
