Publishing sources for academic manuscripts. This page is for myself, but you are welcome to make use of it.

I'm about to give up on webpages! They take so much time! I will put together a textbook proposal for Film & Video Directing, the class I teach. Only the basics on Film-Mind, leaving the specifics to the existing textbook on filmmaking.Text and Academic AuthorsThere several obvious parts: Text, Camera, Mise-en-Scene, Montage... simply to follow the Eisenstein's topics. Leaving out working with actors and production aspect all together.
But the real exercises must be on manipulating SPACE and TIME by the director. Director's Chronotope -- what is to be done with the camera and in front of the camera and how to put together what we got in order to produce the effect we are looking for.
The way of tracking back from the screen to shooting. Go for "reconstruction" of shot from any famous film.
This is the first step -- How It Was Done.
The second -- How To Do It.
