It'll take a while before Film600 pages can make sense. Why? The methodology. We have to find a new way of "understanding" (thought-feeing expressed through images). We are getting there, but the technology is still on the primitive level (we are the post-humans, new primitives).

Well, this is a matter of my survival. I cannot populate my class pages or the nonfiction with the "theory" stuff! Besides, it's the strange philosophy, and I say: "Wrong Subjects and Bad Theories" -- this is how I call my pomo metaphysics.
Maybe you should read my nonfiction first (POV or TECH, for example) to understand that I am not a philosopher or a writer (I do not believe that those titles have right to exist anymore). I do not think that I am a human in some classical sense (that is what the communists in Russia taught me in school and the postmodernists in America). I do not want to define myself (or you), I tried -- and I find it useless. Words, words, words. Against my own will I wrote about my secret psedo-philosophy here and there (The Book of Spectator, Virtual Theatre Files, POV, SELF, Theology of Technology) -- time to admit it and let it live on the pages of "Film600" (the title was for the special topics grad class, which I do not teach -- read more and you will see why).
I hope that between this page, title and intro pages I can explain why I write about "wrong subjects" and use "bad theories" to do it. I do not say "analysis" or even "understanding" -- I am not after "knowing" but the EXPRESSION only!
Let me pick up, where my research and instructional pages end. Originally (several years ago) I thought that my nonfiction writing could help me to get out of the intellectual dead end, but I like "writing" (stories, scenes, dialoguies) and I found out that I have no room left for "theories"! In fact, I would like write more characters in.... so, I had to push my intellectual zeal into the pages in this directory.
No, it's not just me -- another Russian at Emory University had his webpages with the intentions to bring taste and smell into the field of philosophy. Many POMO writers want to do the same with the subjects like "desire" and so on. Did read "The Logic of Practice"? No, no, this is not the cultural studies! I hope it's not. Let me give you an example, let me introduce you to my real problems.
