* Participate in all online discussions. These are the equivalent to attending class. Failure to participate in a discussion for any week makes you ineligible for extra credit (not to mention losing you some points anyway)filmplus.org* Check website frequently (daily if possible) * Visit all linked websites in topic pages. * Read the plays, and the introductory pages prior to each play. * Read the textbook chapters listed in the schedule. * Complete all assignments on time * Complete (*) reading quizzes on assigned plays. You can complete these online from your home.* Write critical papers on two theatre productions this semester. These must be university or professional productions. Your choices are limited. Plan ahead and stay in contact with me regarding your possible selections. If you cannot see two acceptable productions, you cannot pass this class.* Take a midterm and final exam. These tests can be taken from your home. You will not need to go to a testing lab or complete the test in a proctored environment. Content of these exams will be taken from the text, and website content. These are timed tests. You must be fully prepared before you begin your exam. (top)
* There will be no deadline extensions for any assignments or tests without a written excuse and prior notification. You are responsible for submitting work by the deadlines listed in the course schedule. You are also responsible for checking announcements and e-mails on a regular basis for any updates or changes. In the grading process, I will assume that you have the skills to send assignments to me via several methods that are listed in the Assignments section. I will grade what I receive, when I receive it. Any work not turned in will receive 0 points.
* Read the Student Code of Conduct. This site contains valuable information on the University's expectations and procedures. All work you turn in at any time during the semester, regardless of its length or focus, must be the product of your understanding of class content. If you are caught cheating on any coursework you will automatically receive an F grade for the semester and the incident will be referred to the Student Conduct Program. At the very least, a record of the incident goes into your permanent student file. It is also possible that you will be dismissed from the university, depending on the severity of the incident.
* Extra credit is available only to those students who have completed all required work. You must also have demonstrated a willingness to participate fully in discussions throughout the entire semester. There is only one extra credit assignment. If at any time during the semester, you receive zero points for any required assignment, you are ineligible for extra credit. Extra means extra.
